From Shekhaji, Shekhaji Gulkand is a traditional preserve. Murabba are fruit preserves cooked slowly in sugar syrup, and the range covers amla, seb and bel murabba alongside rose petal gulkand.
Fruit is cooked slowly in syrup until it takes on the sweetness right through, which is what separates a murabba from a jam. A piece after a meal, a spoon with milk, on a paratha, or stirred into thandai and paan preparations.
